Forschung

Das Forschungsfeld der medizinisch-therapeutischen Wirkung von Heilwäldern und Waldtherapie ist noch relativ jung, wächst aber beständig. Besonders der asiatische Raum hat hier wichtige Beiträge geliefert. Thematische Schwerpunkte waren z.B. Veröffentlichungen zum Verständnis der Wirkung auf das kardiovaskuläre und das Immunsystem.

Forschungseinrichtungen

Die IMC Fachhochschule Krems in Österreich ist das erste Forschungszentrum, dass sich in Kooperation mit der ISFT mit wissenschaftlichen Grundlagen der Waldtherapie befasst.
